Restoring Furniture
3 Answers
I have an old Victorian washstand (wood unknown, but looks dark oak in colour). In the past it has been used as a drinks cabinet, and unfortunately at some point alcohol was spilt down one of the legs, which has resulted in a stain which I am unable to get rid of. I now live in Spain, and am unable to get it French polished, as I thought that was the only suitable treatment. Does anybody have any expert advice they could give me on how best to remove this stain, I would be very grateful for a response.
Many thanks in advance.
