Metal/ironwork Railings

I need a single length of iron/metal railing to put across a gap on top of a 4ft wall where a fence ends one end of the wall and the extension starts the other end.
Anyone know where you can buy offcuts of railings that could fill the gap?

depends where you live, but a local blacksmith would make one for you - or you can buy new metal railings at builders merchants, or have a rummage in reclamation yards.

I know a 'shop' in Northampton that does ironwork (on Spencer Bridge Road). Are you anywhere close?
