So that breaks down into . . .
Monday: Arrive and turn water off. Go to collect parts but not come back.
Tuesday: Disconnect lots of pipes, making it totally impossible to turn the water back on without flooding the house. Go to fetch the part that couldn't be obtained on Monday but fail to return.
Wednesday: Phone to say that he's had to rush off to an urgent job somewhere else.
Thursday: Send you a postcard from Tenerife.
Friday to Wednesday: Get pished and sunburnt in Tenerife
Thursday: Return to get most of the work done but still leaving you without any water at the end of the day.
Friday: Finish the tiny job that, if it had been done on Thursday, would have allowed you to turn the water back on. Spend the rest of the day drinking tea (but, of course, charging for the time). Leave rubbing hands at the thought of the ridiculously large bill that will soon be in the post.
Me, cynical about plumbers? Surely not!
;-)

This is a complete strip out daft en-suite, replace with wet room jobbie.
Large pan overhead shower, fabbie flooring going up the wall, flush spotlights.
Secondary shower head on the stalk, (No idea what for).
Seems we are having tile panel thingies, rather than actual tiles.
Wall seat thing, and lord knows what else.
Think I will sleep and eat in there, sounds grand :)

Day 2, All ceramics out, old shower unit gone, tiles stripped off walls.
New tray in and non slip flooring applied over.
H&C piped in from combi, electric doodabs removed in loft from old shower unit and extractor fan.
Poor MrF is having to have pits and bits washes, as he can't manage over-bath shower in main bathroom.
Pleased with progress so far.
