A bottle of perfume has spontaneously popped its stopper and leaked into a chest of drawers.

Every time I open the draw it is completely over powering.

Given the inclement weather I can't take it outside to air so what can I do?

Suggestions appreciated.

Chanel No.5 is not a pong, Dave!
Any perfume in the wrong place is a pong :)
You won`t get rid of the smell because the wood is porous. You could leave it outdoors for a while but it won`t make much difference. It will fade in time but probably never really go away.

I accept I won't fully get rid of the smell but it was an eye wateringly overpowering experience opening the drawer.

Anyway nice sunny day with a gentle breeze, the garden is filled with the aroma of Chanel No5.

I've just washed one of the patios, I be the neighbours are wondering why I didn't use Jeyes fluid like everyone else!
My grannie's drawers used to smell of lavender.
