My parlour palm is producing seeds. How can I get them to germinate?

I have grown Date palms from seed in a poly bag in slightly damp compost (not too wet) in the airing cupboard. Two to three weeks, but keep checking every three to four days. Just lift out and pot up any as they show . Try this site too if a bit basic. http://www.bhg.com.au/gardening.nsf/Content/Plant+
