my plant seems to be not doing so well the leave stems are brown and dying how often should i be watering it any tips on saving my yukka thank you Trace

Yukkas hate being overwatered. It makes the trunk go all soft and squashy and the leaves go brown at the edges. Only water your plant when the soil in the pot is dry to touch.

Yuccas are meditterranean/central american plants and like it hot, dry and sunny. My guess is you've probably either over watered it or it's too dark for it.

Yuccas can be cut back fairly hard so personally, i'd cut it back to where the leaves are going brown...remove the leaves too and keep it on the dry side. It might take a few months for shoots to appear but they will come eventually.
