Hi can anyone give me some ideas on how to fix my leaking metal shed roof. It is a yardmaster with apex roof and i have just had it assembled. I have sealed the inside in various places, but with this extreme downpour which we are having it is still leaking. Should i seal all the rims of the roof and put strong duct tape over it.

Yardmaster is a particularly good make, Jackie. There should be no sealing involved. If everything is lapped properly, rainwater simply runs from one piece to the one underneath it, and away safely.

It does sound as though something has gone wrong in the assembly.

I think so too. I had a builder assemble it for me. It has three metal struts across the roof inside the centre one is not leaking. Im not sure how to stop the leak, it will be difficult to get on top of the roof , so what would you suggest.

Is it likely that the wind has blown the water back to underneath the ridge capping?
... and don't try to seal the ridge cap up... or your next question will be .. '' How do I stop condensation''.
Since it is metal sheet I wonder if perhaps a fastener has been put through a low point somewhere. An example would be if the sheet is corrugated and a fixing (and a hole to take it) has gone through the valley of the shape form rather than only at the high points (peaks) as they should be.
Get the builder back and ask him to put it together properly this time.
I second Diddly's answer.......get the builder back to fix it.
