Should I remove them from the garden over the winter and take out the batteries? They are rather large lights. Thanks

I take mine in and turn them off. I don't get enough sun in winter for them to work and think they are better protected from rain, frost and so on. I don't remove the batteries because they have on off switches but I do bring them into the warm and make sure they are thoroughly dry before storing them in the shed. The shed isn't damp of itself but things put in there wet take ages to dry.
I leave mine out all the time but that just means I have to buy new ones every spring. Grrrr....
