I went into the garage today to find my new Beko freezer covered in condensation. I wiped it off and then rang the customer service phone line. The chap there tried to tell me that it was because it's so warm, the warm air is condensing on the outside of the freezer. I think that's a load of rubbish and said as much.
Anyway, an engineer is going to call. If it's a manufacturing fault, then it will be fixed. If not, we will have to pay a call-out charge and a fixing fee.
The door of the freezer is really cold. Should the outside of the freezer feel cold?
^^^this type of silica gel "de-humidifier" won't make any difference - they can make a small difference in confined spaces (wardrobes, cupboards etc), but are useless in large open spaces.
Tilly......the indented handle at the top of the freezer of my garaged fridge freezer us usually full of water from condensation running down......reminds me of dipping my fingers in the holy water font at church....
It's been in the garage for four years...working perfectly.....x
Thank you, Gness. I think it's going to be okay now. I have blamed it all on Mr T. He came out with a well known Catholic oath, when I did so. He could do with some holy water, bless him. :-)
Matlilda Murders Melv also rolls off the tongue but as it's Christmasquote[nearly] I have decided to forgive you, so 'Come out, come out, wherever you are.'
Fortunately for you both my evening repast is almost ready to be served. I cannot join you afterwards, as I am otherwise engaged. I bid you both an uncomfortable night. xx
