Yikes...no Heating
17 Answers
Everything was working fine earlier. The thermostat on the wall in my hall was on 20 degrees & about half an hour ago I thought it was getting chilly, went to turn the thermostat up & it is not "clicking" at all when turned like it normally does. Any idea what is causing this? I have checked the bar pressure on my combi boiler & that is ok. thanks in advance if you can help.

Thanks for your replies. I haven't touched any timer controls so doubt it could be that. I have hot water & I can hear the boiler firing up every now & again. I don't think this particular thermo has batteries. I have home emergency cover on my insurance policy which covers breakdown of heating so I guess I will have to call them out tomorrow.
This is mighty odd. I've never touched the timer settings as I mentioned before but as someone had mentioned this, I went to the boiler cupboard opened the flap to the timer control & sure enough it was showing as "off". Fiddled with the settings, turned the downstairs thermo switch up & hey presto. Very odd indeed. Now have heat in radiators, thank goodness. Thanks for your help
