Cleaning Exteroir of house and any DIY

My mother is thinking on selling her house, and I have been advised to just clean it up.  My mother is elderly and I am her daughter, so as we do not have any men in the house, I can only do what I can do.  I would like to know how to clean paving slabs (red and cream squares) and brickwork and above this a sort of white painted small pebble stone effect.  Also any other thoughts or ideas that could push up the value of the house.  Any replies would be much appreciated.

Cleaning the exterior of the house, paving slabs etc is a pretty simple operation. Hire a pressure washer from your local Hire Centre, attach it to a hose and plug into your electrics, turn the nozzle to "spray", put on your wellies and waterproofs, open the tap, switch on the electrics, hold the nozzle two or three inches off the surface and wash away. It will make a considerable improvement if it has not been done before. Nothing other than tap water is required.

I would be carefull on the painted pebble dash as these pressure washer can be quite powerfull .
