has anyone bought a park home or lived in one.my friend is thinking of retiring, selling her house & buying
a park home but she is not sure about it.any thoughts would be welcome.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I've known several people who've lived in 'park homes'. The general feedback is good but I'd advise getting a solicitor to take a thorough look at any agreement which your friend might consider entering into.
The other thing to remember that unlike 'bricks-and-mortar' the value of park homes decreases over the years rather than increases. If your friend has nobody to leave her estate to this will be unimportant - otherwise it's a very important consideration.
When purcasing any property it's always a good idea to chat to prospective neighbours but I'd suggest that this is particularly important when considering a move to a park home. Ask about heating costs, insurance, exactly who's responsible for the mains services, etc.
