I sell vintage cameras, if you tell me what make and model it is I will give you an idea of the value. Condition is very important if it is in poor condition or not working it is probably worthless.
Put a photograph on here and I will see if I can find out about it, homemade cameras are very unusual, are there any names ,numbers or markings on it?

Eddies 51,no marks or names on the camera other than a removable Ross 1" f1.9 lens.I would download a photo, but I cannot see how to on this site
Ross was a British lens and camera maker back in the 1950s 1960s .
You have to use a 'host' like 'tinypics' to put a photograph on here. I'll have a look to see if I can find some Ross camera / lens images on Google.
Is this it?

If you Google ' Ross 1" f1.9 lens Image' you get lots of results like this.
Could't find much for 1 inch lens so I looked for Ross 25mm (the metric equivalent) f 1.9 . It looks like it could be worth a bit!
It will be a 'C' mount lens, originally for a cine camera, but you can get adapters to use them on modern digital cameras.

EDDIES51 the Ebay link seems to show the correct lens.Do they have a PM facility on this site? I could then email photos.I will try to upload via the tinypic site
You just load the photos direct onto ebay no need for 'tinypics' just put the photo's on your computer and the upload them direct to your eBay listing it is all explained on eBays help pages or I will take you through it.
( My eBay ID is 123-monkeyking if you want to look at some of my stuff in vintage photography)
Here is one of my listings to give you an idea of how to do it
