Spare parts - daylight robbery

We've just had to pay �8.50 (to the manufacturer's Customer Service Dept)for a special screw which fixes into the spinner arm of our  dishwasher.   It probably cost a fraction of a penny to manufacture. Does anybody know of a website or other supplier through which one can order such parts at a less outrageous price?

Being a screw, you could have probably found a suitable replacement at any DIY shop.

If it really was a special screw then Ebay, surprisingly, would probably oblige.
