I have had this vanity unit for several years and now the cupboards have got a yellow tinge(I think they're melamine?). Is there any way I can bring them back to white? TIA

You could try this .....Although I doubt we would be able to buy “Salon40” in the UK. The key ingredient I think is hydrogen peroxide which I’m sure can be bought in a chemist or hair supplies shop. UV light - cling film - time. The UV lamp maybe in Amazon....
