subsidence in Glasgow
I live in a tenement flat in Dennistoun, Glasgow, which I am trying to sell, but the surveyor did not pass it. I have had a structural survey done, which recommends that I get steel poles put into the building to support it, due to subsidence in the rear wall. Apparently it is not a serious problem, but I cannot move until the work gets done.
Does anyone know of a reputable builder who could deal with this kind of work? Any idea of the price?

I used to live in a flat in edinburgh, and when repairs were needed that were communal, ie roof repairs, repairs to the wall of the building, one of my neighbours would contact the council, who would issue a statutory order to all tenants, instructing them to all pay a shared amount of the repairs. If I was you I would try the council again. Good luck!
