Any recommendations? I've got a white slipcovered sofa, and can no longer lug the covers to the laundromat. They pick up pet hair, and lots of fluff from throws.

steam freshens, softens greasy dirt to make it easier to remove from hard surfaces, and kills bugs but doesn’t actually clean. If its pet hair and fluff, either a really good vacuum cleaner or one of those roller jobbies for removing hair and fluff would be a better idea imo...I have heard that ordinary rubber gloves worn and rubbed over the upholstery also works but have never tried it. A white sofa and pets.......brave decision!
Pasta, there are companies that come into the home and steam clean upholstery. We get advertising pamphlets through the door on an almost weekly basis.

Woof...the sofa is covered in throws...but the fluff and fur seems to reach crevices! When I got the covers, there was a nearby laundry. That's closed so I need another option...along with different covers!
Tilly...I'll look into that.
Rubber glove is brilliant if u have carpets & pets.... especially on stairs & at skirtings. Just stroke gloved hand over carpet & be amazed!

Hmmm...I think I'll give the rubber gloves a go. I've never heard of that. Thanks both woof and potiche.
It's not steam cleaning that you need it's upholstery shampoo. Companies that do carpet shampoo do upholstery as well.
We have throws on the sofa but I wash them in our washing machine one at a time then tumble dry. It's only a 5 Kg load machine but it easily does a single throw.

@ Eddie...it's not the throws that need the cleaning (they get popped in the wash like yours)...it's the slipcovers. Velour type throws seem to give off a fair amount of fuzz that sticks to the slipcovers. And cat hair migrates everywhere!( it walks when you're not looking...;-0)
