The short answer is - don't! Plastering is not a DIY activity, it's a specialist trade which takes years of practice, so don't attempt it yourself. Plastering is like playing the drums - experts make it look easy - it isn't! Get a few quotes from qualified plasterers, and get someone in to do the job - it will save the time and trouble of someone repairing your botched efforts.
