what are you stuck on?
You could try looking for a suitable clip on YouTube. Plenty on there. Good luck.
Are you stuck on abbreviations and wondering what they mean, or how to do a particular stitch?

I am knitting a dog coat and at the point of the leg openings. I have cast off as requested so I will have x 2 openings.
The pattern states that all leg sections are worked at the same time using separate ball wool for each section.
This is the line I am stuck on ....
beginning with a purl row work 1.5 inches in stocking stitch from the cast off stitches, ending with right side facing for next row.
Nurse, I'm a knitter all my life and I am not sure what exactly it is you are stuck in, from reading the piece of the instructions you posted. Is it stocking stitch? Stocking stitch is one row plain, one row purl. The instruction says to begin with a purl row, so that is clear enough. "ending with right side facing for next row" - this means that the next row to be knit should be either the plain side or the purl side, whichever you want to be the "right" side of your garment. If you want the plain stitch to be the outside of your garment, the plain row should be your next row. If you want the purl side to be the "outside" of your garment, then a purl row should be your next row.
You can do all the leg sections at the same time (presumably there are four leg sections) by having four different sets of stitches all on the needle. If you have a different ball of wool for each of the four sections, you can move from one to the other doing them all at the same time. But there is nothing to stop you doing them one at a time, if you find this easier.
