I have just moved house. In my garden there are two enormous green bottles. Both sit inside a plastic bin and have a plastic sleeve on the top so most of the bottle is not visible. Both had a stopper in the top. I cant see what (if anything) is inside them.

Does anyone have the foggiest idea what these things are for and what (if anything) I should do with them.

TIA

liquid compost /fertiliser ?

Its a possibility, Minty. Although there is no way of getting the stuff out and these things are enormous - I'd never lift one to tip it up.

Ahhh, yes!

Just like this one

Not sure I would put anything I want to drink in them. They are full of scummy stuff. (Just managed to take the stopper out, which is not in fact a stopper but a small plastic plant pot). There is a reason this house has been renamed Bodgit Cottage..........
sell?
Question Author
No, cant, Minty. I'm only renting atm.
pity..looks like they fetch a good price !
Clean out.
Fill with wine.
Invite friends to a party.
Sorted..
I'll bring the potato salad :-)
Weren't they all the rage in the 80s for making bottle gardens with - I know I hankered after some
Once cleaned and out of their plastic bucket they look great with fairy lights in.
Get eight more...
Put them on a wall...
Sing the song!
Is there any remnants of another say 8 green bottles on the floor?
