Exterior wood protection
3 Answers
I have just purchased a 'log cabin' type outside building. It is a Scandanavian Pine and has been delivered untreated.
What product is the best and most economical to protect the exterior?
Thanks

Its very cheap, goes a long way, is easy to apply, and will preserve the wood for ages. The downsides are that it is not available in a range of colours, its rather smelly for a while after aplication, its not really very 'green', and will eventually need to be re-done, although I guess that is true of any product. The modern coloured wood treatments are very good, and can be applied by spray gun which is nice if you have a big area to treat, but they are very epensive.
