Hard to see how the two are linked as your hot water system is (by regulation) separate from your central heating. However I can think of one possibility: when bleeding the radiators you will have been drawing new water into the system from a header tank. It could be that the water heating system shares a header tank with the heating system (don't confuse this with the actual hot water that comes out the taps - this is heated indirectly by hot water from the boiler passing through your hot water tank). As the heating system water is rarely replenished (unlike the tap water which is replenished everytime you run a tap) the ball valve in the header tank can often stick. If this happens then the header tank will run dry allowing air into the system. The resultant "air lock" could be causing the problem. First find the right header tank (it will be small unlike the header tank which feeds the water that comes out of the tap). Check that the ball valve is free and working. Then find the system drain which will be at the lowest point of the system. Attatch a hosepipe to the drain outlet and open the drain allowing the system to flush through (put the end of the hosepipe into an outside drain unless you want to be flooded!) for at least 10 minutes until the water flows smoothly (check the header tank is coping while you do this). Then close the system up and all should be fine. If in doubt or the above confuses - call a plumber.
