Is there any difference between grout and multi purpose polyfilla ?.

Polyfilla is cellulose-based, which makes it less likely to crack than basic grouts.

For grouting in a shower, you need waterproof grout. Are you certain that Polyfilla is waterproof?

You could get away with it but it's got a rather greyish-white finish, whereas Polycell's specialist product for the job has a brilliant white (waterproof) finish:

Not sure bookbinder, but it is for exterior use. The reason I'm asking is because iv'e got some exterior polyfilla and the shop near me that sells grout is closed until tomorrow and I want to get the job finished tonight..

If it's the 'exterior' version then, unsurprisingly, it's 'weatherproof' but it's also GREY!

I would not use anything that is not stated as being purposely intended as a tile grout in bathrooms.
