Hi ABers. My shower's just died - can you recommend a good replacement - or one to avoid? Must be elec, decent water power and preferably one that's simple to operate as I can't see in the shower once my glasses are steamed up!

Gainsborough. Very basic - so not much to go wrong. Some of the Mira's that have memory storage etc can be a nightmare.

Triton showers are meant to be superb also!
We have a Triton, and the internal micro-switch failed after a couple of years. They wanted about 8 for a switch. As I am in the trade, I know they only cost around 1 so I told them to stuff it and bought one from my supplier. The replacement has now been running for about 4 years. I think their switches are under-rated, hence the failure.
