Christmas table top display

I saw a beautiful Xmas Candle holder in a large department store but it was �20 which is quite expensive for me at the minute. Has anyone got any nice ideas for a cheap, handmade one for a long modern dinning room table?

piece of oasis, small (or large depending on size of decoration required) empty washed margarine tub, bits and bobs of greenery, eg, ivy, holly, twigs from leylandii trees, teasels, large thin red candle

put the oasis in the tub so that it is a tight fit. cut the greenery to the required length and arrange in oasis so that tub and oasis cannot be seen and keep going till you get the effect that you are after. Stick the candle in the middle and hey presto!

For a long table, just make a few of them!
