Cheers. I'll give it a while longer then. I think they're starting early to grow new though.
OG my experience is that it doesn't matter.
Wait until spring. You don't want to prune anything whilst there is a risk of frost. If frost gets into the pruned wound, then it will kill the stem.
Agree with Spath, I keep looking at shrubs budding and want to cut them back, but resisting urge until it gets a bit warmer.
