How old is terraced house in wales?
Hi,
I have bought a house where I work, in Treherbert, Rhondda Valley. The typical stone terraced type. Just wondering how old it is in order to find an insurance quote?
Thanks.

16,000 built between 1881 and 1914

So it's going to take a real expert to tell you whether yours is pre or post 1900
I'd guess it would be the later part. It is the top terrace. I suspect houses were built up the hill rather than down the hill. Plus it's also on the outskirts. So at a guess I will plump for post 1900 on my applications.
Does that make it Victorian or Edwardian then? My history is not good when it comes to "times".
Victoria was on the throne from 1837 and died in 1901 Edward died in 1910 so anything up to 1900 is pretty much Victorian and anything in the first decade of the 20th century is Edwardian
But you get different styles in Victorian because it was such a long reign
Put post-1900 on the insurance, they're hardly going to kick up if it turns out to be 1898 or something like that.
