Hi. I have several solar lights spread around my garden. Is it OK to leave this out during the winter or bring them in to protect against frost? Many thanks

It depends on the IP rating. They would need to be IP68 to be completely sure they won't be damaged and in my experience, very few (if any) solar lights are that robust.

Strange question to ask at this stage of winter.

Thanks for advice I will check rating. Only just thought of it as up to now the winter has been mild without any frost, but it is now begining to turn a little colder.
Winter is often the time that solar lights deteriorate....they contain a rechargeable battery which a) doesn't like very cold temperatures and b)doesn't charge well in the dim/dark days, causing early "demise". That's even without rain/condensation causing corrosion inside. My advice....bring them in and remove the batteries- which you can charge up using a rechargeable battery charger.
