A guarantee is totally separate to your statutory rights. It's a 'gift' from the manufacturer, who is entitled to determine the rules which apply to it. So there can be no universal answer to your question. You'll have to read the small print.
We have registered th guarantee on every item we have bought and never been hassled with any calls or E-mails.
Just go with your statuary rights.

The guarantee will always be at least as good, and probably better, than your statutory rights
Don't think si FF you get 6 years with normal warranty?

Its a full parts and labour 2 year guarentee. i have read it agian and it does say After registering your free guarentee, your appliance will be covered for parts and labour for 2 years. Not automatically guarenteed I suppose I best do it.
You register so that if there is any reason for a call back or retro fit they know where the machine went, it could save an accident.
