During its travels, my hardshell plastic suitcase has been dropped onto one of its wheels which has resulted in a 15 cm crack in the plastic of one half of the case. Does anyone have a recommendation for a mastic/filler which I could use to repair it?

Incidentally, the important thing with fixing a crack is to drill a hole at the end of it - it stops the crack spreading further.

I have seen suitcases in 'Bargain ' shops for £5 each ! A lot of people buy one use it once then throw it away !
I would definately NOT try to 'glue' a hardshell suit case ! It is NOT going to work ! !
Well done on persevering, Steve...... :-)

A lot of people are wrong, Eddie......buy cheap, use once and throw away is so bad.....x
glue rarely has strength in its own right - that's why I used fibre-glass matting and car body-filler on my roof box. The matting provides the strength; the filler/glue holds in in place.
