Self-Propelled Petrol Mower ? Purchase

looking to purchase a new mower self propelled petrol one, the grass collector on mine is shot
and they do not make spares for it anymore...sadly, i have a a rather large lawn, and as im getting older require something self propelled, can anyone recommend a good make please.

Wouldn't it be easier to hire a gardener to cut it for you?

You need to cut the grass weekly in summer really, the price if a gardener would soon rack up to over the cost of a mower

Fender a mower is a mower unless it’s a flymo.. all depends on how much you want to spend.

OK, Spath is the man to advise you as he is a grass mower.

I personally use a Webb mower, but i’m partial to a john deer. The new electric range from EGO is good but not petrol.

had an old atco, bloody good machine, worked well for years sadly its gone to mower heaven, the current machine has a briggs n stratton engine with classic written on it? grass box knackered as iv said
cannot get one for my model, seems a shame she works well, two pulls and she goes usually, thanks for the advice everyone, key start
mmmm petrol mower, electric mower ? light easy to push, but not much oomph i have found 20 odd years ago or 30yrs..

Husqvarna petrol excellent machines hubby says. He has walking and ride-on of this make.

We have a Honda rotary with rear roller..a Viking rotary (Stihl) with rear roller and a Countax ride on for the big bits.The Honda is brilliant and has key start....but they aint cheap!

fender, how bad is the grass box? If that's all that wrong maybe cheaper to have grass box repaired by a sheet metal worker? By the way do you know make and model your current machine that you need grass box for?
