have just looked inside the garden shed and the roof is caving in. I need a new one - how much are they these days 6 x 4 basic wooden with felt roof and floor. thanks.
you know I'm just thinking - I only have a few electrical appliances, old paint, empty boxes of say newly bought appliances - I could perhaps go smaller. What's the smallest size.
I have had an older version of this for years for my lawnmower, strimmer, rake etc, it would hold a load more stuff if I didn't have to keep moving the mower in and out. For outside storage it is ideal. It has easy access as both doors open wide and the lid lifts up and being plastic there is no maintenance.
My husband just bought one from Argos. A cheap one, about £270. Absolute rubbish! Plastic windows, that doesn't fit, no handle on door, and wood is really rough! Friends put it up yesterday for him. Really disappointed. If you can, JJ, invest in a good one, that cost a bit more!
I have been scouting around here locally - and 6 x 4 costs like near enough £400.
Just after getting a phone call for 4 x 4 and he is quoting £320. Think that's tearing the ar$se out of it. But I guess I'll have to get my head around those prices.
Vulcan - no - felt on the roof has now ripped off. When I got lawnmower out yesterday - a big hole on the other side of roof and the wooden roofs sagging. Have got a good bit of wear out of it. It is 6 x 4 and it was a bit big cos I don't have a big back.
Cheap or not RR - I'm happy with that. He's very busy so it could take a week - meanwhile I will have to go in and cover electric appliances with black bags.
a wee update - well I went over this morning to see the sheds as you had me a little worried re the cheapness. I am now going back to 6x4 as I thought the 4x4 would leave a ground mark. Also with it being so new I can maybe take the *** out I have in my cloakroom and leave me more room there.
I am getting 6x4 cabin log wood effect, delivery, installation and dismantling and taking the old one away. Also am getting a little window. Good floor too - for £400. It will be a couple of weeks.
