Had my MIL on BG she took it into her head to change mid contract to a cheaper company!
Had nothing but trouble no service done won’t come out as saying maintenance is not covered!
Can’t wait till we get there in July to sort them out again!
Our rental is due up in April. We wanted to increase from homecare 2 to homecare 3, having checked online what the premium would be.
When we rang up we were quoted a higher figure and told the lower figure was for new customers...but she would see what she could do, and immediately reduced it by 20%
The renewal email had a telephone number on it.

You could be right Bazile, although just like you we’ve been given 20% off every year since we started this a long long time ago.
I can see from reading in here that some people think it’s a rip off. We don’t, and will continue with it.
I do the dance with BG and Direct Line every year, always getting a reduction on the renewal quote
Auto renewal is just jam for the insurance companies
I have the British Gas basic level Homecare - the £60 excess per call-out is optional i.e. you can pay a higher premium and get rid of the excess. We've been with them for 30 years and have always been happy with their engineers.
