Run Out Of Carpet Cleaner

Run out of Vax carpet wash for my carpet clear. Not a steam cleaner by the way. Can I use Fairy Liquid in small amounts or preferably liquid clothes wash?? Would it ruin the machine?

I always use Rug Doctor liquid in my Vax Platinum which you can get at nearly all the supermarkets.

I think you'd be very silly to use anything other than proper carpet shampoo. Apart from risking wrecking the machine you're likely to end up with foam everywhere that you can't get ris of, resulting in a sticky carpet.

I dissolve vanish a scoop to a pint of warm water but only for high tread areas. Better to get some real stuff online.

Put it back in the cupboard and get a good book and , if you have an outside space, enjoy your free time... maybe a glass of wine too...... The cleaning will be there for another 3 weeks and you are not allowed visitors.....relax
