Cutting Back A Money Tree?
2 Answers
I have a very old and large money tree (crassula ovata) that lives most of the year in our conservatory. I know it to be at least 50 years old, it is about 3 feet high and about 2 feet wide. The trunk is several inches in diameter. It's very healthy with only an occasional mealy bug and is very bushy.
Its size is the problem, I obviously don't want to lose it but its getting too big for its corner of the conservatory. I have trimmed bits off it at times but it now suggests a more radical pruning. The question is how much and when? And should I combine it with repotting?
Opinions please.
