Hi, can anyone tell me if its usual for the planning committee to visit site (en mass) before the decision meeting?

Uncommon, but yes it does happen.
yes quite normal my sister and her husband had it for a property they were building.

ta. they came today and one of them said"are we going to go next door" (the main objectors) and the chair said "we havent been invited in"
does that mean they sked them and they said no, or that they didnt ask them?
maybe they just wait to be invited in, like vampires? Is there any special reason why they ought to visit your neighbours?

i dont see why, but maybe because the neighbours have complained about how much it will affect them
