LCD TV What??

I am intending to buy a 26 or 30 inch LCD TV. Can anyone recommend a particular brand or model? There is too much choice out there!

We are going to buy a samsung, we went into Comet and looked at them for a while and you could see that some of the colours on the others (LG included cant remember others) weren't right. The blacks were more of a dark purple than black. The assistant was very knowledgable.

i would suggest going into one of these shops and watching the tv's for a few minutes and really take note of the colour

Why not pop into your local library to see what Which? magazine has to say on the things?

You might want to hang on a few months if the old telly isn't knackered. Tellies are going through a design upgrade akin to but more dramtic than what NICAM stereo came along.

Perhaps I got the duff one in the batch, but I bought a Samsung 32" LCD and it has never worked since unpacking it. Samsung was not able to help when I phoned them and have been told by the supplier that they will send a replacement but cannot tell me when that will be as they have no stock and no idea when the next delivery is expected.
