... with all the steam that a shower creates within! I'm looking at the ideal primer & top coat paint. Are the following two products o.k after an initial sanding of the door? The paint on the bathroom door at present is 'Dulux satinwood mid sheen & hasn't lasted.
Hi Ken, supposedly dries quite quickly. It's having the time isn't it when there are four of you using the bsthroom. There's a fan of course, but my granddaughter loves spending an age in there!
Eleanor, with paint, there's 'dry', then there's 'dry'. Touch dry does not mean ready to paint over. And i don't think it would do the paintwork much good were someone to fill the bathroom with steam while the top coat was drying.
Ken, noted! I'll have to do this when granddaughter is at her dads give it a chance to dry thoroughly. I think she escapes in there from everything & 'dithers' .. kids! ;0)
Hi builder, yes there is a fan in there, I'm quite strict it's turned on 'hacker's the shower is even started .. & also have the window open a little. Granddaughter both have long hair & take way too long in there.
Thank you both for the o k on the paint x
Yes I see where you're coming from nailit. Just my link to the top coat I found said suitable for bathroom. I did wonder whether I should use an oil based paint to finish though.
