Best All Round House Safety Cameras.

We live in a tiny hamlet and the other evening a few of our neighbours lost things from around their houses and in unlocked cars. We came home at about 16.55 and our external light had been activated, which was unusual - we didn’t lose anything. I have Alexa. Is there an external safety camera that is very good and reliable and would send images to my mobile? There are so many cameras on the market and they look like toys. Any ideas and suggestions, even what to avoid would be gratefully received.
