You can m/wave in a wooden bowl. Wood turners will use m/waves to reduce the drying times for green wood by heating and one method is to use a m/wave oven. BUT if there is likely to be areas of the bowl that are wetter than others, be careful that they do not burn as the contents of the bowl heats at different rates. This wouldn't be a problem if you are heating a liquid in the bowl as the surfaces will be evenly covered.

It is likely that the bowl itself has the potential to get too hot to be safe to handle (as it is an organic material) without gloves as well, and this will overheat the contents and spoil what you are heating.

Terracotta, glass, ceramics, some plastics are fine to use, but not metal containers or dinner plates with decorative metal banding, unless you want to get a new m/wave oven for Christmas.

but..it might have a coating on the bowl which might react with the microwave. Might have a slight glaze or oiled surface. If it dont say "microwave safe" dont use it. Better safe than sorry
