Air Coolers/Dehumidifier

Can you buy these combined, also do they all need the vent to be placed out of a window.

I do think they need to vent outside, otherwise the warm and moist air will stay in the room and so will the heat and moisture.

Depends what type you go for...proper air-conditioners have a built-in refrigeration unit (which also dehumidifies) and needs to be vented.
Cheaper air coolers simply blow air over cold water/ice and aren't vented...but aren't nearly as good at cooling the air in a room (but they are quieter!). I have the former (about 15 years old) and it's been brilliant in the present conditions (room at 21C at the moment).

Not surprisingly Lidl have one, branded as Silvercrest for £169.99, from this Thursday.

It's in their latest leaflet but not yet online as far as I can see.
