After the first laundry cycle with detergent my mom does a second one with vinegar. Could some one explain the purpose of the second cycle with vinegar?
I've no idea why your mother uses vinegar in a normal wash, but I've discovered that when you get a new towel that won't 'dry' even though it's been washed before use, a bit of white vinegar in the wash cures the problem. The fabric conditioner in the wash takes care of any smell that might otherwise linger.
i tried flash cleaner before, but it didn't get the marks off the base. i have a telescopic pole to reach the far point of the base, and it cleans with either viakal or white vinegar.
My better half uses the white vinegar wash with towels that become harsh over time, especially with drying in the sun. They then come up nice and fluffy.
