I got a new radiator in bathroom perhaps earlier this year. Hopefully this link works

Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

when I had the old radiators I had a key to "bleed" it. When the installer left I remembered about the key and rang me him and he said there is no (I don't need one etc).

However just in from toilet and definitely the top of radiator is much cooler than the bottom.

Is there anything I can do before I ring plumber. Thanks

Radiator key is a standard size, JJ, so if you still have the old one it should fit.

bless your wee cotton socks BHG - just bled it for a second or so and it WORKED - hee haw. x
Glad to be of help JJ
oh - and use a different plumber next time!

Davebro - I won't blame the plumber as I did ring about the key the day he installed it and he probably told me to use the old key but he mutters/stutters a bit and I probably picked it up wrong.

This site is a blessing - yee - haw xx
Plumber should have provided a key anyway.
Most modern steel radiators have a slotted head bleed screw JJ.
So if you can't find a key anytime, just use an ordinary flat headed screwdriver.

thanks Builder but have this wee key since I moved in here around 1988

If I was to go with my hearing that day - do think he said - that radiator would never need to be bled. But he is a great plumber and I will stick to him. Tho a little on dear side LOL
Question Author
Builder - looked at the key it is square so a flat end screwdriver wouldn't do. I'll guard this key with my life LOL
You dont need to guard it with your life JJ, those radiator keys are available at most DIY stores.
