Hi all - I have a question about methods of affixing a steel sink to the underside of our kitchen counter. While trying to unblock the waste disposal unit downpipe, I overdid it with the plunger, and with 16 years of use, the epoxy fixing of the steel sink to the underside of the countertop gave way, and the sink is now no longer connected.

I've never used epoxy before, but I'm pretty handy.
The countertop is a brand called Silestone - an artifical stone, I think.
There are pictures of the sink and the hole with links below.
I went to the local hardware shop and spoke to the guy who knows, and he recommended this chemical adhesive (link to pic below) which seems to be a very strong carpentry chemical adhesive with an activator - cyanoacrylate. (we're in Spain).
What's my best option here, does anyone know, please?
I'm loathe to pay somone a couple of hundred to come and glue a sink back on.
I don't want it to fall off after a couple of months, however!
The waste-disposal will go back on this sink, but I will also support it from below, as before.
Many thanks for any advice!

I don't think you really need that 2-pack adhesive although it'll certainly do the job. A good carpenter's glue such as 'Unibond - No More Nails' would be fine. Obviously that waste disposal sink in the pic will need a good clean on the top gluing surface. It's stainless steel so maybe some wirewool.

(cyanoacrylate is of course superglue - but this comes with an activator, to give more time to offer things into place, I guess)
Hi BarnaWill - I can't help with your Q, but for the pics to work, you need to upload them to another site, eg - https://imgbb.com/ - & use the links from there.

Thanks for the advice!
I has planned to clean and prep all areas before affixing, but cheers for the wirewool tip.
I've heard I should clean then rough up the underside of the silestone as well, with some light sandpaper?
Definitely clean that as well.
Even more important is to remove as much of the old glue as possible.

Good luck :o)
