Pre Wash Button Flashing On Samsung
10 Answers
Hi, my daughter has just called me to say the pre wash button on her Samsung washing machine is flashing. Model is WW80J5556MW. It has been on for one hour but has only run for 10 minutes and the pre wash button is flashing. I have checked the manual and there is no explanation for this. Does anyone know what the fault may be? As far as I know, there is no error code showing on the display.

I've put my washer on before now and gone back later when it should have finished .... only to find the wash cycle hadn't even started. A quick check revealed I hadn't shut the door properly. Opening and closing the door firmly, set things in motion :)

Thanks everyone, yes the door was shut properly as it started the programme but only for 10 minutes. I already advised her to clean out the filter at the bottom which she has done. I cannot see how to deactivate the pre wash unless you just keep pressing the same button. Not sure if she uses powder or liquid but don’t think she has ever put it in both drawers. The machine is 4 years old so not ancient and has always worked OK until now. Could it be something to do with not enough water getting in at the start or low water pressure? Just clutching at straws here but appreciate all your advice.
