Try eucalyptus essential oil , seems to shift any oil based substance as it has a higher volatility apparently. Or if you use WD40 and it leaves an oil mark eucalyptus will break that down. Acetone would also work
Many manufacturers recognise that their trainers are machine washable and advise a cold wash on a gentle cycle (and to remove any insoles before washing).
Before it became common practice, I used to wash my trainers by first placing them within a pillowcase (tied up) – this might reduce the potential for damage to any delicate surfaces/materials making up the trainers.

Petrol will get it off. You can use a bit on a rag to rub it off the front. Laces are a bit trickier...maybe soak them in petrol, then hang them up for a day or two (to let the petrol evaporate) and then wash. Just an idea!
