Perhaps you need a big strong guy to squeeze it harder.

Of course, if it is old, it may have hardened up ?

push it against toilet bowl where you want it. dont make same mistake as me and forget to take the lid off the tube before trying to apply. hope that works, will do my own if any further instruction /details needed

You haven't bought a "refill only" pack, have you? The discs are applied by pushing...but you need the applicator tube from an original purchase of the whole kaboodle!
(Actually, imo, they are pretty but useless!)

don;t buy them - I have squeezed the heap around the toilet bowl and now they look like heaps of urine. Urgh

It's not supposed to go around the toilet bowl - it's supposed to go in one place in the toilet bowl
