Restoring Pine Doors
2 Answers
Friends new house has pine doors skirting etc, theres quite a few surface scratches on them too and she wants to know if anyone has used anything to cover the scratches whilst also giving the pine a fresher new look. Doesnt want to use varnish but doesnt mind them being a little darker if that makes sense, thank you

Sanding is the only effective way to go.
The trouble is, it would have to be all over......... and that's a lot of sanding. Especially difficult if they're panelled doors.
for light scratches only, wirewool or "wet n' dry" sandpaper might just lose them, but I can't promise anything.
An electric sander is best though.
Whatever you use, if you don't want varnish, then I would use "Briwax" all over to finish
