I recently acquired a nest of tables (not sure what wood it is but it is solid something!) The middle and bottom table are perfect. However, the top table has seen better days, it has glass rings on it and it look as if the previous owner has tried to scrub the top to minimise them! Any ideas on restoration that doesn't cost a fortune? It is a mid coloured wood if that helps!

beeswax polish with a drop of woodstain added should bring it up a treat
Alternatively, sand the top off completely and re stain/polish it,a bit of a chore but might be worth it if the other two are OK.

That looks pretty good advice so far! I had a similar problem with one i aquired, which had a broken glass top inlay, which i replaced with perspex which looks identical and much safer too..
