kohl and eye liner are a bit different. if you want to put it on your actual eye lid (above the lashes) then go with eye liner, but if you want to put it on the inside bit, (between your lashes and eye ball then use kohl. kohl doent smudge as much. MAC sells eye liner and khol, go to a counter and ask the difference for a proper answer.
